Subject: [PATCH] unbound: New package
Date: Sun, 18 Oct 2015 11:36:58 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <1445161018-31114-1-git-send-email-stefan.schantl@ipfire.org> (raw)
[-- Attachment #1: Type: text/plain, Size: 56887 bytes --]
Unbound is a validating, recursive, and caching DNS resolver.
The package comes with libraries that are used by many other packages
to resolve DNS records and validate those by using DNSSEC.
Fixes #10943.

+summary = A validating, recursive, and caching DNS(SEC) resolver.
+
+description
+ Unbound is a validating, recursive, and caching DNS(SEC) resolver.
+ The C implementation of Unbound is developed and maintained by NLnet
+ Labs and is based on ideas and algorithms taken from a java prototype
+ developed by Verisign labs, Nominet, Kirei and ep.net. Unbound is
+ designed as a set of modular components, so that also
+ DNSSEC (secure DNS) validation and stub-resolvers are easily possible.
