Order for new mini appliance

Hi Michael,

During last night my IPFire hardware died. The ssd is still okay. Tested 
that out on another computer and could mount it and access files with no 
problems. The hardware just doesn't do anything on the serial connection 
and after a while even the Power LED stopped shining, although the 
network leds still flashed away.

Anyway, I have no internet connection at all now. Am making this 
communication via a friends house.

I have placed an order for a mini appliance. The order screen said that 
the order was successfully placed. Hopefully you still have some stock 
of the appliance and hopefully the delivery time is not too long.

Fingers crossed for a speedy delivery. In the meanwhile, there will be 
no real communication from me to the mailing list or the community forum.

Oh that is bad news.

The network controllers are independent. So as long as they have power, they might even initialise the link. But if the mainboard died, that is not of much use.

Let’s see what we can do to get this order to you as soon as possible.

Well. Maybe some good chance to recover from all the package updating :) Read a book with a nice large beer on the side and recharge - so you can work twice the speed when you have your brand new appliance :) LOL
