Subject: Problem running fireperf
Date: Sat, 8 Nov 2025 16:22:37 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <7e91c26b-3398-43ce-b36d-0dcbc306f95e@ipfire.org> (raw)
Hi All,
I am trying to run fireperf on a couple of machines on my network. One is on the red side of an IPFire system and the other is on the green subnet.
Both are running Arch Linux and both have fireperf installed from the same build from the Arch Linux AUR.
However fireperf works fine on one of the systems in both server and client mode but on the other, in both modes, I get the message
Could not open socket: Address family not supported by protocol
Both machines are up to date. I am sure in the past fireperf worked on both machines.
Anyone got any idea what I have set up / modified wrong on the one giving the above message?
Regards,
Adolf.
