Oh that is bad news.
The network controllers are independent. So as long as they have power, they might even initialise the link. But if the mainboard died, that is not of much use.

Well. Maybe some good chance to recover from all the package updating :) Read a book with a nice large beer on the side and recharge - so you can work twice the speed when you have your brand new appliance :) LOL
