Hello,
No it isn’t planned to remove this.
The reason why we cannot upgrade is that our proxy does not use the ICAP protocol to talk to the helpers like squidGuard, update-accelerator and squidclamav. We are using the legacy redirector interface which is no longer supported in newer versions of squidclamav.
