Subject: Remnants of 'unbound' in updated installations
Date: Sun, 26 Jul 2026 18:38:32 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <c31d087e-2b1f-458a-9417-1d7b6f7fe4f0@ipfire.org> (raw)
Hi,
since it came to my view:
- 'unboundctrl' in '/usr/local/bin' is still present in updated
installations. I think its not needed anymore.
- 'unbound' user and group are there as well.
If we are no longer need these - than I could update the 'update.sh'
script for one of the coming core updates accordingly. ;-)
Can anyone confirm?
Best
Matthias
