I also do not understand why the

contains commented out files of dracut that are actually installed on my=20
ipfire system

For example
#usr/lib/dracut/modules.d/90kernel-modules/parse-kernel.sh

and
#usr/lib/dracut/modules.d/02caps
#usr/lib/dracut/modules.d/02caps/README
#usr/lib/dracut/modules.d/02caps/caps.sh
#usr/lib/dracut/modules.d/02caps/module-setup.sh

just as two examples, there seems to be plenty more.

I see that the dates for those files on my ipfire is from june 2014,=20
while these files seems to have been
commented out with "#" in july 2014.
My system is fresh install of 2022, but with restoring config=20
originating from many years back in time.
