That looks like a Linux reference to a serial port.  Beside the USB0 port what are you trying to talk to?

On the hardware side I have:

USB port  <——>  SiLabs CP2102 device (my USB to Serial adapter)  <——>  Raspberry Pi UART (serial console)

The Raspberry Pi only uses ground, Tx & Rx

What do you have?
