Hello,
I just applied for a stand at FOSDEM 2016:
Description: The IPFire Project builds on Open Source Firewall solution based on Linux.
IPFire is versatile and hardened Linux distribution built from scratch that is easy to adminster for everyone with help of its web user interface. There you can create complex firewall setups very quickly, see status reports of the current state of the system, view logs and graphs and much more.
Many addition applications like VPNs and a powerful web proxy are built into the distribution since they are required in almost every network - from homes over authorities to enterprises. IPFire scales that well.
It is completely free software. Free to use for everyone and of course it is free to hack on it, too :)
Coordinator's affinity to the project: I founded the project and I am currently one of the Core Developers of IPFire.
Why does it fit FOSDEM We are a group of volunteers that would like to (re-)present the IPFire project at FOSDEM. It is very important to us to find more supporters especially to support our development efforts and of course we would like to encourage more people to use IPFire - not only for the sake of using our software. We most importantly focus on getting IP networks more secure.
