Thank you for your thoughts. I guess I will pull all translation strings from Transifex in the next few days then, sync them with Pootle and then we make the transition. We will still need to write scripts to automatically sync the translations back to the source repositories. If someone is interested in helping with that, please get in touch. Moving to Pootle?

Hello all together, long time no see. I hope you are well. Today I am getting in touch with you because I would propose moving from Transifex to Pootle. http://pootle.ipfire.org/projects/ Pootle is an Open Source software that allows people to translate software into many other languages. Just like Transifex. Unfortunately Transifex is turning more commercial and therefore I would like to not use it in the future any more and set up a test installation of Pootle. It is used by many other Open Source projects and I think ready for prime-time. Before we make the change, I would like to hear your feedback. Hi, I think should we should not keep in mind those formal things only, but the rules of English and German also! ;) Further we should pay attention to the technical and factual content. It doesn't make much sense, if we fill up the wiki with texts, which do not reflect the implementation. Once more this check can only done by the developpers. New Translation Mailing Lists

Hello, as promised I created some translation mailing list, so that all translation-related discussion can move from the documentation mailing list to those. The first one is for all kinds of translations and the coordination of those. I recommend to subscribe to that to all of you who are working on translations, because I will posts announcements and other important things on there. I also created a German translation list, which is for ... yeah, you know. I didn't know of there are any more people working actively on other languages, so I didn't create any more lists.
