For some times, I like participate to the translation into French language of the IPFire’s GUI.
Please, find hereby some questions i have for the team.
· For the translation, my reference is the English language file (en.pl) and I notice several differences with the German language file (de.pl):
The number and syntax of lines between languages is not the same (today, 31 additional translated texts into the English version – core update 144) and i don’t know exactely what must be kept / translated for the French file (fr.pl).
The English file is the reference and it is also the reference for the German and all other translations.

Technically, all unused strings can be dropped. However, I am not very sure if the detection for it is 100% accurate.
· I also noticed some texts displayed in the GUI but not included in the translation and I was wondering if it was possible to translate them. For example :
Services > "Quality of service"
Sometimes, some strings are not being translated: https://git.ipfire.org/?p=ipfire-2.x.git;a=blob;f=html/cgi-bin/qos.cgi;h=821...
This is the case here and they of course should be translated.
I would encourage you to find these strings and post patches for the CGI files.
System > Credits > " This product includes GeoLite data created by MaxMind. Available from"The "Graph" word incorrectly positioned in Status > Memory and Media graphs
