Hello,
this is just a quick announcement to raise your awareness of decreasing
net neutrality in Germany. The Bundesnetzagentur (Federal Network
Agency) is currently calling for statements about "Routerzwang" - ISPs
forcing their customers to use the router box they provided.
Why this is dangerous and why we all need to fight against it can be
found in this post on the IPFire planet:
http://planet.ipfire.org/post/fighting-for-net-neutrality-use-your-own-router
The IPFire Project is teaming up with the Free Software Foundation
Europe (FSFE) and joining their and Mirko Vogt's (from OpenWRT) efforts
to send a proper comment on this topic to Bundesnetzagentur from the
Open Source community's point of view.
We, from the IPFire project, would like to encourage you to take part in
and help protecting net neutrality.
Best,
-Michael
