I am sad to hear that, but I have taken that sadness and funnelled it into reaching out to Debian, because of their thread on the Debian-legal mailing list and have also contacted some people from the Tor project:

The latter was privately because their bug tracker is currently read-only and I could not sign up to it.

I will keep this list updated on what happens.
