@Michael: I will regard only the english language in the future 1) referring to your comments (thanks for response) i changed the headlines and made them shorter, so they aren´t broken anymore and all are now in one line. 2) I changed the OpenVPN start site and made them smaller so it is a better overview and not so much information in it. Also i removed the Wikipedia links. 3) Also i gave the smartphone section on = more so that there are a TOC to be seen. Let´s have another look to check this version out. If this design and content goes the right direction i will adapt this also in the english Wiki. Thanks and best regards Erik @Erik: The official language of this list is English. Back on topic: I just skimmed over the text. The layout (mainly the headlines) are broken on nearly every page. If that is fixed, the layout would be a bit better and the TOC will show some useful stuff. On the one hand, texts look complete and there is a lot of information in it but on the other hand the first paragraph on the start page is very long and containing some links to Wikipedia, which in my opinion do not have any relevance to the topic. I would like to see that a bit shorter and with not so much irrelevant information. Good job. Michael

[Documentation] How to migrate the wiki to a new language

Hello guys, this is some hint to show you how the wiki works and what rules you need to respect in order to create a sane and clean wiki. The IPFire Wiki is available in serveral languages. The primary language is English! This is a very import rule, because any content that is created must be created first in English and is *then* copied to all the other languages. This is that important because the most people that are active on the wiki speak at least English and one or more additional language(s). At the top of the wiki, there are language buttons. If a user opens a wiki page in a language that is not his or her first language, the user can choose between all languages the article was translated to. To make that work, the names of the wiki pages MUST exactly be the same. The wiki cannot guess what that page is called in French or something. Please respect these rules when creating content on the wiki. Do not forget to add a link on the start page to your language, but do not do it at the top until the language is not supported for at least 75% of the pages. Michael

Regarding to my last message, i fixed the mentioned points below, except point 4) . @ Michael, do you think this will be fixed until the release of 2.11. ? Or should i mentioned it anyway ? Greetz Erik Hi Michael, of course i can, 1) After some suggestions from stevee (by the way thanks stevee;-) the introduction site http://wiki.ipfire.org/nonpublic/de/configuration/services/openvpn will get some new formulation because the word "verschlüsselt" is a little often. 2) The N2N configuration site should become a evidence in the beginning that the server certificate needs to be made before configuring some connection ---> i wanted to do this with short explanation and a link to the roadwarrior cause there it is also graphically explained. In the Roadwarrior configuration, the placement of this part http://wiki.ipfire.org/nonpublic/de/configuration/services/openvpn/roadwarr… should also be at first explained, because without Root and Host certificate there is no way to enable or configure some connections. So i think it is a cronology needed which explains also the first start up. 3) A few screenshoots are missed, but i made it and i only need to upload them. 4) It should also be explained, that for the prosecute of the N2N, there should be set the hook on the Roadwarrior "OpenVPN aktivieren auf rot" . Maybe i will find some other things for correction. I will fix these issues today (hopefully all;-) Also the english translation needs to have a proof-read. For the first thats all. Dear all, there are some little things recognized which will be changed on the actual OpenVPN Wiki in the NON public section. So the date to set it online will be postpone for 2 days. Hopefully some other helping hands and minds find some more things to improve the actual version. Best regards UE

Hi all, today 18.09.2011 in the evening i will bring the new OpenVPN Wiki online and the old one will be replaced. It is very important that more people looks out for faults, or design discrepancies and most important for the functionality of the explained steps. The last Screenshoots will be made today, so that i can lift the new one round about 21 o´clock to set it online. [Documentation] Rethinking the start page

Hello, I need some designer that makes the start page of the wiki more suitable. I decided to remove the languages from the top that are not maintained very well, because it may rather confuse a French user reading outdated and incomplete documentation in his or her own language than in English. The start page however should be very exciting and there should not be too much information until the user has chosen to go with one language. So the layout with the flags is quite nice, but I cannot center them and maybe we can find better images under a free license. Link to there: http://wiki.ipfire.org/ Michael
