Hi Erik,
I've done i little work on it (only in the german one). What is the target of the "hardware" column? I don't see it.

Hi Daniel, i think also both ideas are better solutions then the existing one, it might be then a good idea to give a hint in form of links with which software the RAM consumption can be prooved or mathematic example how to calculate it, so it is easier for people to bring some informations back to the wiki.
May can you complete this ? Might be quiet nice.
Greetings
Erik

Hi Erik
In the example configurations you tell us the overall available ram and used ram but I think this information is not very useful. A really useful information, i think, is how much ram squid uses overall in this example.
For example my configuration 100MB (memory-cache) + 20GB HDD Cache (20*20MB~400) = up to 500 MB memory use
What about the filter-processes? How much ram did they use?

Yes, I did this and subscribed your other email address. You were subscribed with ...@gmail.com <http://gmail.com/> but your sent mail was from ...@googlemail.com <http://googlemail.com/>. That means that I have to approve every single post. Everything should be fine now.
