Hello,
as you may have seen we kinda featured the transmission addon in the latest release announcement of IPFire 2.11 Core 55. We thought that it might be a good idea to attach a summary of changes that have been done in the addon section because most of the time, people do not notice new features - and there are a lot.
So, this time it is transmission, a fast but tiny bittorrent client that is considered hot by many users I have seen on the IRC channel. Hence, many installed it and were stuck when redirecting downloads to attached USB drives etc. because there is no documentation, yet.
My question is if anybody is willing to create some documentation about it containing a short introduction about how to install the package and log on to the web interface. And for the more experienced users: Create a samba share to download the downloaded data to a PC.
When this is finished, I would like to send an email to the transmission team and add the IPFire distribution to the list over here: http://www.transmissionbt.com/download/
That will be some good advertising and show people that IPFire is more than just a simple router and distinguishes itself from its competitors.

Hi Michael,
i think this is a quiet good idea to interconnect to other projects... i would try to do this wiki too, but at this time (if i have some) i try to step further with the proxy wiki cause there is a lot of work in it. So may someone else are willing to do this ??
Flo are you still exist ;-)
