Hi all,
as I explained to you previously, I regularly compare the contents of the English and German language files, of which here are my results at the end of this message :
Summary to date (since the 148 IPFires testing version of July 30) :
- 16 strings are missing in the English version (EN)
- 42 strings are missing in the German version (DE)
It would be great if someone could suggest an update to the translation files so that people contributing additional translations (e.g. French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.) can base themselves on a full English language file.

When you say English is missing those, compared to what? Other languages?
This probably is that those strings have been removed and are no longer used. However, they have not been removed from other languages. People tend to only touch the language files of languages that they speak.

There are tons of false-positives here. I have no idea why because the transition shows directly behind them. Must be a bug somewhere in the code. It would be nice if you could find that one.

Michael, you're right ... I had already shared this translation gap between the two master languages (EN and DE).
This time, I also wanted specify the impacted lines of each translation file so that everyone can know if a correction is necessary and possibly proposes it ...
My reference / origin is the content comparison of the English and German languages files (in the /var/ipfire/langs folder) from the up to date ISO (update 148 testing)

Please use the files from the Git repository as they could have unreleased changes.
This observation shows:

You can simply try to “grep” for the identifier on the left side of the =>.
And then you know my difficulties with Git ...
There are plenty of tutorials out there.
