DynDNS support for ddns project.

Hello guys, i've created a patch for the Dynamic DNS client for IPFire. (http://git.ipfire.org/?p=oddments/ddns.git;a=summary) My patch will add support for the very popular "dyndns.org" provider. However I wasn't able to test my changes, because I don't have any account there and I seems new members have to purchase to use use it. So, I need your help to test my changes and finally be able to support that provider in the next major version of IPFire. Best regards, Stefan

Updated Updxlrator and other changes

Hello List, I would like to introduce a "little" modified updxlrator wui for actual ipfire 2.11 Core65. Because of the changes I made to optimize the code in functionality and more conformity to the xhtml 1.0 web-standard to speed up rendering process in the browsers, the attached zip-file affected not only updxlrator but also the followed parts: 1. apache: Modified /etc/httpd/conf/loadmodules.conf - enable mod_deflate for compression the output files (except graphics) if browser supports it. Modified /etc/httpd/conf/vhosts.d/ipfire-interface-ssl.conf - enabling compression for whole SSL-Web interface 2. Theme "ipfire" & "maniac": Due to performance problems with browser google chrome when in maintenance view and having lots of files in updatecache, these problems results from some missing and/or not correct declared tags in the begin of each page. These changes are: - Sending Request-Header Content-Type instead of <meta Content-Type [..]> (Recommend by microsoft for IE >= Ver 8) - Modified Declaration: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC '-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN' ' http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd'> <html xmlns='http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml'> <head> .... These changes let perform google chrome like a charm rendering the pages within ~15 secs like other browsers (tested with IE9, Opera, Firefox in actual versions) instead of waiting for minutes ... - Made some bugfixing to the theme code, cause it produce errors in validator. 3. Web-UI in general and addons which use the "age"-function from general-functions - modified age function to show the time translated, in single and plural terms, but only the parts, which make sense. Example instead of showing: 0d 0h 47m 15s, it will show now: 47 Minutes, 15sec. in connection time 4. Added some strings to de.pl and en.pl so you have to run "perl -e "require '/var/ipfire/lang.pl'; &Lang::BuildCacheLang" ... The web-ui of updxlrator is now fully xhtml1.0-valid by test with the w3c-validator. The attached file contains the complete folder structure (etc/srv/var) and only contain the files I changed / added, so there should be no problems when you copy it over / .... hopefully. Hallo zusammen, ich verwende jetzt schon ziemlich lange IPFire und bin eigentlich mit dem Produkt sehr zufrieden. Was mich allerdings etwas stört, ist die meiner Meinung nach schlechte Reaktion auf Hilfe die ich anbiete, wobei ich mit dieser Email gerne auch erfahren will, was ich eventuell falsch gemacht habe. Ich meine damit folgendes. Ich habe 2 Bugs im Bugtracker geöffnet und niemand bearbeitet diese, obwohl es meiner Meinung nach kein großer Aufwand wäre. Es geht dabei um folgende Bugs: 10065 New Bacula 5.2.6 FileDaemon Addon (https://bugzilla.ipfire.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10065) 10233 Severall small improvements for the backiso script (https://bugzilla.ipfire.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10233) Also die konkrete Frage ist, was muss ich tun oder ändern, damit das was ich als Unterstützung einreiche auch Beachtung findet. Ich frage dies deshalb, da ich in meinem ipfire 2.x clone an den conntrack-tools, einem update für Bacula und check_mk für IPFire arbeite und ich diese Arbeit gerne in euer Projekt einfließen lassen würde. Mir ist klar das ihr lieber Supporter hättet die sehr aktiv in Forum und Maillingliste sind, aber ich habe selbst sehr viel zu tun mit meiner Arbeit und daher kann ich nur anbieten was ich eben nebenher noch leisten kann. FIREWALL

Dear List! please checkout the attached code. It contains the new firewall and firewallgroups. For your convenience i added an installationscript, which takes care of backing up old files and you are able to install and deinstall the code via the provided setup.sh script. Please copy the tar archive to your ipfire. Create a directory in which you untar the files. Firewall und Firewall Groups

Dear List! Attached you find the code for firewall and groups. The only thing which is missing, is the script, which runs rules.pl as root. Michael will build it. You can test it manually. Please feel free to install the files and setup some groups and rules. If you are ready, go to ipfire console and run "rules.pl" to see, what rules would be inserted. Firewall und FW-Groups

Dear List! Attached you find the latest package for the new forward firewall and firewall-groups. You can not damage anything, the modules just fill some txt-files.no real ruleprocessing now! files go to: all from cgi-bin /srv/web/ipfire/cgi-bin/ all from addon-lang /var/ipfire/addon-lang/ 50-firewall.menu goes to /var/ipfire/menu.d icmp-types goes to /var/ipfire/fwhosts. after that rebuild Languagefiles and delete any old configuration from /var/ipfire/forward and /var/ipfire/fwhost (Here do not delete icmp-types!) Hi All, I have looked in what I thought were the usual places for these things but I've not had much luck so far so I thought I'd try here! I am currently trying out the IPFire 2.13 beta, so far I have to say it's very good! A large improvement on the previous version, especially with regard to hardware support. However I have a couple of questions about the beta I hope you can help me with. 1) Is there some sort of changelog which lists what has been fixed/improved between beta versions? So I know if I have an issue whether it has been worked on between versions? 2) Is it possible to "upgrade" between the beta versions in the download page or does it require a complete re-install?
