developers i made an enquiry recently on how to change the web port. this was successful . i think this may be a valid part of he advanced installation instructions. If appropriate i would like to submit the instructions on how to do it as others may have port conflicts in the 1 to 1024 range. rgds Ian

update accelerator cache stats

Developers i am running a couple of ipfire systems, all with update accelerator running. one has an intermitant problem in that it does not always show the cache stats ie it has to be refreshed a few times before i get a result due to apparent timout. stats for the cache are efficiency index 16.4 files in cache 52383 cache size in bytes 377,796,514,550 below is my profile http://fireinfo.ipfire.org/profile/691c7fd0343b899e011c1fe0ff107187c0af85d7 can you help me to find out why this is timing out rgds Ian

This is an update-release gzip -l no longer falsely reports a write error when writing to a pipe. [bug introduced in gzip-1.7] Port to Oracle Solaris Studio 12 on x86-64. [bug present since at least gzip-1.2.4] When configuring gzip, ./configure DEFS='...-DNO_ASM...' now suppresses assembler again. These changes are mainly meant for upcoming squid 3.5.xx: - Raised 'while-loop'-time for stopping squid to 120 seconds. - Changed the 'while-loop' from using 'statusproc' to 'squid -k check', since 'statusproc' didn't find the still running '(squid-1)'-process. Thus, 'squid' hadn't enough time to close the index. This led to a damaged 'swap.state'-file and "Rebuilding storage in /var/log/cache" always ended with "(dirty log)". - Added some 'boot_mesg' lines in stop-routine. - Changed the 'flush'-command to delete the entire 'swap.state'-file - it will be automatically rebuild during the next start.
