I am doing an update of sarg. I have updated the two patch files and then I have run the build. The patch files seemed to work okay and also the make but at the make install I get a failure with the following message:-

error: gettext infrastructure mismatch: using a Makefile.in.in from gettext version 0.20 but the autoconf macros are from gettext version 0.18

All my internet searching has found lots of cases where the gettext version is lower than the autoconf macros but nothing for the other way round. I have been unable to find out where and what I need to change to make the autoconf macros have the updated gettext version.
