Hi,
after some time i was not here, i am back :)
I build IPFire again from Scratch and it already hangs on Nagios 3.0.6
Log Snipp
checking for ping... /bin/ping checking for ping6... no checking for ICMP ping syntax... /bin/ping -n -U -w %d -c %d %s checking for ICMPv6 ping syntax...
I have sended a lfs patch for Nagios and other modules to remove IPV6 Support from IPFire 2.x to compile IPFire 2.x success.
I rebuild my Patches and give u the github Repository from me :)
If there a other Workaround for this bug?
best regards
Sascha

This has never caused any problems as far as I am concerned. That may only depend on the kernel configuration of your host distribution.
We were planning to drop the nagios package any ways as long as there is not a maintainer who takes care of it.
We also do have icinga and don't need both.

hi there,
i have installed core82 and upgraded to core85, because i have a new ZBOX (Zotac EN760).
On this fresh not manipulated installation i´ve got the error
Error: Unable to open backup database "/var/log/rrd/vnstat/.red0".
After a little try and error i find out, how i can recreate the databases (from ipfire forum Arne)
/usr/bin/vnstat -u -i {red0,green0,blue0} -r --enable --force
i think, this is what to insert into a wiki for problem fixing.
The source of this problem i dont really know. I have installed the box offline and needed to "kill" the box after the installation and setup the interfaces, to bring the box to my other zbox (Zotac AQ02). I connected the Cables and upgraded to core85, installed programs like hostapd, mc, htop, samba, then i have restartet.
I dont remember if this problem on core82 or with the upgrade to 85.
@Michael, i have send this mail to you, and now to the development list. You can ignore your private mail from me with this content :)
best regards from Berlin

Hello,
I haven't heard of this problem by anyone else so far. Can you reproduce it or has it been a one-time problem?
You can also add this to the IPFire wiki at a place you feel is best for it so that others can fix this temporarily until we find out if this is a real problem and if we can do something about it.
Best, -Michael
