I apologize for asking a non-dev question, but I don't know how else to get in touch without someone that can help...
I believe I registered for the ipfire forum a while back, but I am unable to log in now. When I try the "I forgot my password" option it says my email/username could not be found. When I try to register, it says "The email address you entered is not allowed to be used." The FAQ says to contact an administrator, but fails to say how to contact an administrator. Can anyone here help?
Thank you,
John
Hello John,
what is your username on the forums? I could not find an account that is registered to this email address.

Hi Michael,
I usually use jpoet (or if 5 characters is not enough, then jppoet). I may not have registered on the forum. It saying that my email could not be used, had be believing that I already had. Since Erik says it may just be blocking gmail, then my assumption is probably wrong.
I also have an outlook email, but I almost never look at it. I can try to register with it and see if that works -- unless outlook is also blocked?
Thanks for trying to help.

Yes outlook.com is blocked, too.
I created an account for you. This was really troublesome because phpBB does not have a functionality for that and after I created an account on the normal way, not even the admin is allowed to change the email address to one that is blocked. Weird.
You should have received an activation email now. Please use the "I forgot my password" function to reset the password.
Apologies for all this trouble.
Best, -Michael
Thanks for trying to help.
