Hello,
I would like to start proposing things that should be fixed in Core Update 57:
* Alfred has sent some Update for the OpenVPN GUI. http://lists.ipfire.org/pipermail/sig-vpn/2012-February/000001.html
* An update for libpng which addresses some security fixes (from 2011) It can be pulled from here: http://git.ipfire.org/?p=people/ms/ipfire-2.x.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/li...
- Michael
Testing-Core57 is available but where may I find the changelog?

You get details from the git http://git.ipfire.org/?p=ipfire-2.x.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/core57 It's the same like older cores.
The vpn update was moved to core58 because the update has still bugs (not deleting routes). Libpng also comes with core58 because Michael and i has forgotten it to pull it to the master branch before build.

Oops. I just checked in some new bug reports regarding the update of Strongswan. No security fixes, but feature enhancements. https://bugzilla.ipfire.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10037
Core Update 57 is up and running since a couple of days now and I have found no regressions. I also don't expect to find any.
Michael
Installed Core 57 no problems with installing and no problems after reboot.

Since I've updated to Coe 57 my IPFire needs more memory and I can't see for what. Any ideas what I may check?

I can not confirm that.
Do you have some more detail? Logs, graphs?

Welcome to the last round of Core Update 57!
I am writing this mail so we all get together and do the finishing touches on this update.
It has been in the testing tree for a whole week and some people already installed it. As there were no complaints at all I think all those of you who hesitated should feel safe now. So go out, test and don't forget to give feedback!
Kim, I'll need you to write the release announcement for the front page as always.
If everything goes well the release date will be the 7th March.
Michael
P.S. This also means, that development of Core Update 58 has started. Please get all your changes in line for a merge as soon as possible. Details on that will follow within the next week.
