Hello, I have some questions: What is the base-font size? 16px (SM) or 20px (M)? It is okay if I use rem for the font-size? (It’s the default in bootstrap). How we handle the headings do we use h1-h6 with given sizes or are the sizes defined via classes 4xl-xs? (Keine Ahnung ob das so zu verstehen ist. Also meine Frage ist ob wir für die Überschriften die Schriftgrößen bei H1-H6 definieren oder wir die Größen über Klassen festlegen also 4xl-xs?) What are the fallback fonts? Ubuntu, “Helvetica Neue”, Arial, sans-serif? The grid is the default Bootstrap Grid (12 columns) with a padding of 24px instead of the default 30px? Do we use the color naming from the Zeplin Project or a semantic color naming like brand-primary, brand-info etc.? If I create a note file for myself, do I also put this file on git? How often do you want me to submit the work, is once a day enough? I’m not familiar with the Python webserver it is better to serve less files (like in HTTP) or more small files (like in HTTP/2)? Can I remove all the HTTP prefixes in the template file and put only //. At the moment both methods are used.

Hey Sven! You were invited :) At some screens I added comments. Make sure to read them and feel free to create your own if there are open questions. At the "PL - Icons" screen you can download the icons as SVG. The 2 big background images as well as the IPFire Tux can be downloaded from here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1j3p4f3igjxk2u8/AADDwHKvFIOtOC92EyYR8DJja/Websit… I'm aware that the filesize of Tux is a bit high. But we need him bigger for Hi-Res/Retina Screens. When I throw him though compressor.io I get pixelated flames as output :( At the Styleguide tab you can grap all the used colors. Perhaps it doesn't make sense to put the rbga colors inside the global color palette. I had to name them because these are single colors for Zeplin. As discussed earlier - I used a 24px gap for the grid for every viewport. I didn't touch anything else. Within the shared Dropbox folder you find PNGs of all 5 key-viewports with the grid as an overlay. Let me know if you have any concerns or questions. -- @Michael What should I do next? Hey Sven, do you think we can do a tiny customization at Bootstrap 4's column grid system? Just 24px gutter width instead of 30px? I found a short guide for that. Relaunching the ipfire.org website

Hello everyone, this list has been inactive for quite a while and I am guilty of not getting much done what I promised before (apologies), but finally we are getting on with a few things. Since Daniel sent out a tweet which asked for help to implement the new website design, Sven got in touch and me and him had a brief call where we talked about how he can contribute to that. Luckily, there were not many questions and we are almost ready to go. I created a copy of our website repository for him, provided him with an account and access to the database. I also gave him links to the designs that Maurice did and he is fairly optimistic that we will be able to implement everything very quickly. Step one would be to get a copy of the website running on his development machine. Step two is updating everything to Bootstrap 4. It is still under development but I have used it for some projects and it is stable enough and this is probably the right time to update. Step three is then modifying the CSS that is there to match Maurice's styleguide (it seems that a few things are still missing there, but I hope that we will be able to figure that out easily). Step four would be to update the front page. Step five is to update the features page. And at that point we see how it goes and if it makes sense to push it out or if we update the download page and the others right away. There are no designs for those available, yet. Depending on Maurice's time and availability we will see what is a good schedule for everything. Then I would also like to update some of the content on the pages. This is not necessarily tied to the design because this is nothing major. I just think that we should update some of the texts and we should also update and add more screenshots of the web user interface. So as you can see this is a lot of work and needs many people who help us out here. Hence I would like to welcome Sven on the team and I hope that everybody else is helping him out where ever necessary. Looking forward to hearing from all of you. Best, -Michael
